Y2K Doom? April 1999
Babyboomers of America are about to meet their biggest foe. From a time span of over a half of a century ago, they are about to meet themselves. Location hovers around the year 2000. Most of corporate America is embedded with babyboomers. Most of the people who are working hard to stave off the perils of Y2K are babyboomers. Most of the people who are or will overreact to Y2K are babyboomers.
Thus we have our quandary. Technology vs The Human Spirit. Remember this because it is deeply seated in all of us no matter what generation. We do not sacrifice the human spirit for gain. Technology looks and works pretty but fairs poorly next to the human spirit.

"Listen up. Someone out there is going to save the world. Who will it be?"
The world is already saved, remember?
"Listen up. Someone out there is going to save the world. Who will it be?"
Is there an echo in here?
"Yes there is"
Is that how you really want to ask that question?
"Listen up. Someone out there is going to save the world. Who will it be?"
You know what, that question is getting really old.
(long silence)
Are you still there?
(longer silence)
Hey, where did you go?
November 1998 (the 4th candle)
One house with a few rooms and four burning candles in different locations. Three of the candles were burning brightly while the fourth one was beginning to dim. Pouring out the wax from the dim candle would have shortened its use. Then I realized that it was the candle that lit the other three.

"He has ideas but he doesn't like to fight for them"
But doesn't that make him weak?
"When you fight, who wins?"
So he wants to share his ideas?
"These ideas are not just his and yes he is willing"
That's alot of bumps to take just to share.
"He already knows it might not be easy"
This guy doesn't believe in being saved; where does he go from here?
"Saved from what? Plus, he's not going anywhere, he's needed here"
Ahem, everyone is listening now, will you help us on that one?
"We are all in this together. And besides, he's been given his own sword."
You are the way and the wayfarers. And when one of you falls down he falls for those behind him, a caution against the stumbling stone. Ay, and he falls down for those ahead of him, who though faster and surer of foot, yet removed not the stumbling stone.

The petals do not question the stem of its flowership
The stem does not question the roots of its flowership
In fact, these of themselves probably do not know what a flower is
But ohh, don't they look beautiful
The Fisherman Revisited 6/11/02
This is the further explanation of my story on
Ink and Paper page1 (the human aspect)...
The fisherman had been to a few churches you see and had been to Sunday mass most of his young life so he decided to skip mass and go fishing instead. Now lots of people talked about this 'Sunday Mass' skipper. Now and then the fisherman would get raised eyebrows and overhear how he was ignoring his responsibilities to his community and to God.
The fisherman didn't see it that way you see because something would happen to him from time to time down by the water. He could actually hear quiet messages to him in the serene of his surroundings. Not only that, he began to see God's message all around him in those same serene surroundings. A connection was beginning to take place. After a fair time though the fisherman could not help himself but to revisit the church of his youth.
There it all was, just as he had remembered it but his visit was a little different this time. This time he had brought God with him and knew that no matter where he went, the All was with him. He appreciated what the church could do for people but, he could not ignore the call of the water and would return to the river where the silent message was being delivered.
I have said my peace
Wrong perception is the wish that things be as they are not. The reality of everything is totally harmless, because total harmlessness is the condition of its reality. It is also the condition of your awareness of its reality. You do not have to seek reality. It will seek you and find you when you meet its conditions. Its conditions are part of what it is. And this part only is up to you. The rest is of itself. You need do so little because your little part is so powerful that it will bring the whole to you. Accept, then, your little part, and let the whole be yours. ~ACIM
